!!! Marigold - 2026.01.12 - Marigold New Year Golden Garden !!!
Marigold's next chapter... Rea Seto will be asked to prove her impressive performance in First Dream wasn't a fluke
against Mai Sakurai... Yamaoka, Yazamaki and Komomo in a rookie tag... Ultimate tag team match between Aono, Yuzuki, Hayashishita and
Iwatani in the main event. Let's see what storylines will emerge for Marigold's 2026.
- Hummingbird vs. Nagisa Tachibana vs. Megaton: Cool new gear for Tachibana! She looks great. Thankfully she didn't miss
any events due to her injury caused by Kouki's splash move. Hummingbird skinned the cat. Megaton bollocks were
mostly kept to a minimum (that's not a good thing). Mid match.
- Nao Ishikawa vs. Erina Yamanaka: Decent match. Ishikawa targeting Yamanaka's legs was pretty cool. Spider suplex
by Yamanaka and a new addition to her moveset, the Sky Twister Press to end the match.
- Mai Sakurai vs. Rea Seto: Rea Seto shows explosions of passion and violence like she did in her 3/1 First Dream match.
Sakurai sets her up well.
- Seri Yamaoka & Yuuka Yamazaki vs Kizuna Tanaka & Komomo Minami: Yamaoka continues her rookie final boss run.
Decisive win over Tanaka. Speedy opening exchange with Komotan. Filler match.
- Natsumi Showzuki & Chika Goto & SYOKO Koshino vs Nagisa Nozaki & Misa Matsui & CHIAKI: CHIAKI is so fun, I just like seeing her
goof around. Showzuki is so smooth and violent in the ring. CHIAKI sold her big enzuigiri like being shot point blank, best spot. Decent match.
- !!! Miku Aono & Utami Hayashishita vs Mayu Iwatani & Victoria Yuzuki !!! Holy shit what a match. Iwatani playing the grumpy
veteran that's been in one too many battles was awesome. Her offense is great, but her biggest strength is her selling and the match's story
was basically an Iwatani selling showcase. Yuzuki was awesome with her explosive youngster offence, throwing caution to the wind. That
V-trigger knee followed by the dropkick in the ropes was so sick. Aono's kicks were out to kill today, I felt each and every one of her
kicks on Iwatani's back. Hayashishita also had some fun with a Deadlift German and some stiff as fuck lariats on Yuzuki. It's nice
when she doesn't has to sell for 20 minutes straight and just throws bombs instead.
One match show, all filler apart from the main event. But that one match is very good, not a surprise considering the
talent involved. Seto vs Sakurai and semi-main were watchable but unremarkable.

Marigold First Dream 2026 3/1/2026
A big one kick off the year. Looking forward to Yuzuki vs Koshino for the UN title and Hayashishita vs GoChika. Aono vs Sakurai
on the main I think could surprise me... Unfortunately Yuuki Minami is out with ACL injury for an indefinite amount of time... This
would be a good time to re-check if she's really passionate about puroresu, she's already 27, not particularly athletically gifted
or an in ring natural, and she just suffered an ACL injury that will probably sideline her for about a year... Is pro wrestling worth it
for her? We'll have to see...
- Seri Yamaoka, Shinno & CoCo vs. Kizuna Tanaka & Komomo Minami & Yuuka Yamazaki Holy shit that new gear for Yamaoka is so cool!!
The face jewellery was such a cool touch. It's a bit crazy to think that Tanaka and Yuzuki are generational classmates, they are leagues
apart. Yamaoka is built as the rookie final boss, however it seems that Yamazaki usually gives her problems. Nice gutwrench suplex from Yamaoka,
her spears were stiff and nasty too. This match felt a bit rushed, it would have been better served if they slowed it down a little.
- Kouki Amarei, Natsumi Showzuki & Hummingbird vs. Nao Ishikawa, Nagisa Tachibana & Momoka Hanazono Weird to see Tachibana here and not
with the rookies. Kouki and Natsumi return match!! Natsumi's new colorscheme suits her much better. As soon as she hit that double knee strike,
I realized how good it wasrto have her back. Kouki didn't have a new look unfortunately, but her big boot looked great and she seemed really
emotional after the match. Hopefully she takes puroresu a bit more seriously from now on and hopefully she also stays injury-free. That Amethyst
Butterfly on Tachi looked brutal, but not as brutal as that one on Yuuki Minami. Hanazono bollocks were welcome, but her childishness gives me the creeps.
- Megaton vs. Popular Guy K It's Kuroshio Tokyo Japan!! It's the Uptown-Marigold card tonight it seems. Kuroshio's
gimmick of taking an absurd amount of time to make his entrance and then having no sportsmanship by going for the earliest possible
victory by any means necessary fit this match perfectly, it was the main plot point. This man only wants to hot dog and grandstand, he
hates having to endure any kind of pain or overcome any difficulty! On the other hand, Megaton takes her very limited in ring
ability very seriously, leading to lots of groundhog day shenanigans! This match was really funny, I wouldn't mind if it was
longer.
- Utami Hayashishita vs. Chika Goto Hayashishita loves to sell, she wishes she got the John Cena booking every match.
Big lariat from GoChika!! She did give up the opportunity for an early win by countout after the two big swings on the outside.
This was pretty fun! GoChika finally shows she can have a good midcard match and her hip attacks are becoming stiffer. Hayashishita
doing her usual power moves to win despite GoChika's bulked up frame, then constantly flexing in her post match celebration was funny.
Prefect use of both talents in my opinion, GoChika the rising star that connects to the crowd but needing something or someone to help her
elevate her in-ring ability and Hayashishita the star that has the in-ring ability but doesn't have the same spark she used to have in
STARDOM and would benefit from being away the main event for a little while. I think this is just the right amount of bulk for GoChika, but what do I know, I'm not her.
- Darkness Summit: Misa Matsui & CHIAKI vs. Rea Seto & Nagisa Nozaki for the Marigold Twin Star titles Ridiculous
armor entrance costume for CHIAKI! Very cool evil costume for Rea! I was actually surprised by how good this was, this was my favorite
match of the night. Nozaki showed just a little glimpse of what she's capable of and damn she's good when she puts her working boots on. I've gotten
used to seeing her conserving her energy and taking it easy. Rea Seto also did way better than I expected. You know someone is on a good
day when they throw forearms with such ferocity. Her dropkicks went straight for the head and she also did the cattle mutilation headstand
just fine, after some course-correction. CHIAKI and Matsui absolutely demolished her with that double claw/chokeslam. They played to everyone's strengths and it made
this match come out great! I really want to see Rea get better and be featured more.
- Victoria Yuzuki vs. SYOKO Koshino for the Marigold United National title It felt as if Yuzuki wanted to prove she's
worth the UN belt. The way she didn't shake Koshino's hand at the start, her cocky demeanour... Almost as if she felt the pressure of the
UN belt. I have mixed feelings about this,
on the one hand Yuzuki is slowly turning into an amazing worker, her swagger and stiff strikes in this match were absolutely
amazing... However the start and the finish of the match were very sloppy, and as for the finish, that's probably Yuzuki's fault...
Well, in F1 Toto Wolff once said "I'd rather have a fast, unreliable car rather than a slow car that never breaks down." (or something along those
lines) and there is some truth behind that sentiment... Koshino was fine, I was a bit disappointed by her
big lariats. Once she eventually hit the powerbomb it looked great. She was great at taking Yuzuki's stiff shots though.
A good match, but Yuzuki vs. Sakurai I thought was better and I felt like even Yuzuki thought she could've done better because once the match
ended she barely smiled or celebrated and headed straight to the back. (did they go long?) Yuzuki will be a beast with that confidence
and attitude if she can become a bit more consistent. Her new hair is awesome too.
- Mayu Iwatani vs. Takumi Iroha for the GHC Women's title I always have the same reaction in main event matches that call back
to the King's Road style like this one. They absolutely bore me to death because I'm not that emotionally invested in the
main event chatacters until they pull out some crazy shit in the 20-minute mark and win me back over. In this match, the negotiation
over the avalanche moves was that moment, it was a simple concept executed so creatively and smoothly, exactly what sets apart world-class
competitors like Iwatani from the rest of the pack. She also did an awesome crucifix bomb. They did recover pretty nicely from some minor
botches they had, making mistakes is human and a good recovery will always get bonus points from me. Iroha is no Iyo Sky, but she's
pretty good here nonetheless. Iwatani's moonsaults were insane. The finishing stretch was generally great and the crowd ate it up too.
I just wish I either had more faith in the ability of top level wrestlers to deliver after watching NOAH for a long time,
or simply that they would get to the good stuff a bit sooner, SenJo style. Iroha looks great in her new red attire, I prefer it over the silver one.
- Miku Aono vs. Mai Sakurai for the Marigold World Title Yeah it was gonna be hard to follow up the previous match. This one is definitely a step down,
these two in turn are no Iwatani and Iroha... it's not a bad match, once again the finish is pretty heated, but it didn't have to be 26 minutes or whatever this was.
Sakurai is good, but she's not at that level yet and while Aono can work on the main event style matches, she isn't on the Iwatani level where she could
wrestle a broomstick to an entertaining match. For the most part it felt as if they didn't have too much chemistry if it weren't for the finishing stretch.
Awkward table spot that looking back went much better than was anticipated, it turned into a pretty sick spot. Avalanche Styles Clash to spike Glorious Driver
finish was a satisfying end to the night. Aono looks good in her new red and golden costume. Decent main event, but honestly it was the bare minimum.
I feel like I've seen stronger shows than this one from Marigold. Darkness Summit, Iwatani vs. Iroha and Megaton vs. Kuroshio were my favorites and there were
strong moments in other matches as well... The card was good on paper but I think it didn't turn out as good as it could have. I was a bit disappointed
with Yuzuki vs. Syoko, it could have been such a banger, but inconsistency spoiled it for me. Still not bad though, just a bit
underwhelming. Damn I had a lot to say about this show...
Marigold - 2025.12.31 - New Year's Eve 2025-2026
Rookie tournament was pretty fun. Megaton being in contention was funny in itself. Surprisingly Shinno managed to
get a decent serious match out of Megaton. Yamazaki got a lot more offense than I expected in her match against
Yamaoka, but it still wasn't enough. Yamaoka beat the fresher Shinno, she needs to work on her stamina I think.
Her German Suplex looks great. I really like that Yamaoka gets extended mat work segments, but they need to have more
of a purpose. Yamaoka would do well to learn from some shoot style guys. The Marigold Rumble was very entertaining.
Yuzuki's bold haircut! Lots of funnies, but some good in ring work as well. Megaton had a second chance to make an impact
but she was almost immediately thrown out. Darebo imploding was also fun. Insane elimination on Iwatani. Award ceremony was whatevs.
Mochi pounding segment would have been great if there was less of a .. barrier. Each player got a small promo on what 2025
was like for them and what their goal for 2026 was and then they got to pound the mochi a couple of times. Rea's SenJo background
showed, she pounded that mochi like a pro. Ending year change ceremony had great energy and atmosphere, balls were thrown,
poses were struck, photoshoots were done, GoChika even went on a video call with Yuuki Minami so she wouldn't miss
the year-change ceremony. It was all very sweet and festive and heartwarming. Marigold is so feel-good man. Looking forward to watching
the big show in 1/3.
Marigold - 2025.12.27 - True Victory Twin Star Cup Tournament
Komomo can't announce the show start despite having made notes on her palm! Silly peach girl! Twin Star Cup one-day tournament show!
- Nao Ishikawa & Hummingbird vs. Nagisa Tachibana & Yuuka Yamazaki - I found this pretty boring but the finish with Hummingbird's
rollup was super clean.
- Miku Aono & Megaton vs Seri Yamaoka & Shinno - I thought this should have been better. Aono seemed to not want to exchange
kicks with Shinno. Nice to see the rookies win, but it was pretty forgettable.
- Mayu Iwatani & Komomo Minami vs Nagisa Nozaki & Rea Seto - Snore. Draw. Snore. Rea Seto had a couple of cool dropkicks to the
face! I feel bad that everyone is making fun of Komomo...
- Utami Hayashishita & SYOKO Koshino vs Victoria Yuzuki & Kizuna Tanaka - Just as I was getting into the rhythm of it, draw again, boo.
I really like Yuzuki. She had a couple of heated exchanges with Syoko.
- Nao Ishikawa & Hummingbird vs Misa Matsui & CHIAKI - Boring boring boring... HOLY SHIT BIG GERMAN SUPLEX BY ISHIKAWA FOLLOWED BY INSANE SPLASH
BY HUMMINGBIRD! Then settled back to boring...
- Goto Chika vs Erina Yamanaka - A pretty decent match. GoChika's killer lariat, Yamanaka's big enzuigiri. Creative finish
that called back to GoChika's draw with Nozaki in the Dream Star Grand Prix, only this time she won! Let's go GoChikaaaa!!!
- Misa Matsui & CHIAKI vs Seri Yamaoka & Shinno - Best match of the card! Shinno and Yamaoka are very fiery babyfaces.
Big busaiku knee from Misa while Shinno is against the ropes! Impressive power spot by CHIAKI. Other than that this match was all the rookies
and their babyface fire. I love Yamaoka's dropkicks. Surprise pinfall out of nowhere that gets the pin?!?! Ohhh!!!
This show was pretty weak all around, only the last two matches are really worth it, everybody took it easy in every other match. It doesn't
help that the crowd weren't too excited apart from the main event. Crowd involvement really impacts my enjoyment of a match. It's impressive to see
GoChika be the best of the rest in Marigold, the featured midcard act on the verge of main event legitimacy. Rookies winning the Twin Star
Cup was a pretty exciting moment, a new deadly tag team formed and a potentially new challenger...! Most importantly the Darkness Revolution Summit will
still go on! All things considered, maybe skip this one or watch the last two matches. ~2hr 30m
Marigold True Victory 10/12/2025
Chanyota vs. Megaton repeated finishes was funny. Yamanaka, Ishikawa, Hummingbird three way also had its funny moments,
like when they were trying to imitate Yamanaka's flashy pin. Then they transitioned well into more serious territory. These two matches
were more entertaining than I expected, a good comedy fix.
Semi main 3v3 tag was also decent. Main event Twin Star match was great, CHIAKI and Yuuki Minami had their best performance to date.
Minami is great at being the underdog in peril, she sells like death anc she also did some very strong dropkicks and a cool pinning hold.
Seeing GoChika having to save her and clean house was very entertaining. Her being the workhorse of the tag team will also help her
improve her stamina! The DareBo Summit segment ruled, Rea as the polite heel was so endearing! Good mic segment to close the show by CHIAKI.
I think that's enough Marigold house shows for now. ~2h
Marigold True Victory Noon & Night 06/12/2025
Marigold has grown to be one of the most consistently entertaining promotions for me. Lots of storyline
development in these two shows!
Noon: Does a good job of building Hummingbird up for her challenge on the night show. GoChika & Minami
vs. Darebo was a pretty fun tag, didn't even mind the countout finish as there was nothing at stake. Main
event Yuzuki UN defense against Matsui Misa was a basic match executed very well, although I do think the
crowd could have made a bit more noise and that these two could do better on a bigger stage than random house #3000.
Yuzuki's Victory Shooting move looks like it can kill a joshi... Megaton unfortunately didn't deliver the goods this day,
her match was pretty bad.
Night: Megaton vs Komomo was funny and good, what a match! Semi main was good too. Hummingbird stepped up
big time on the main event. Super happy for her, she gets to redo her disastrous Marigold debut with Iwatani and she
does great! It helps that one of the greatest in the world is with her in the ring, but the bird shows great fire and
pulls out some cool moves without getting ahead of herself or messing up anything. Not one messed up spot! Unbelievable.
I love Hummingbird's short fuse and her devilish screaming make her stand out from the otherwise happy-go-lucky or stoic Marigold
roster. Her springboard crossbody to the outside was also awesome. Post-match poor Komomo had to endure
Iwatani talking down to her and the crowd joining in by laughing to her jokes. It seemed to get to Komotan, she looked about
ready to cry by the end. Thankfully Miku Aono was there to comfort her in the show closing segment. Done like a true ace, props
to Aono. Prove em wrong Komotan! Have an awesome match like Hummingbird to prove you're ready to step it up! Iwatani vs Komomo
should be a banger, it truly will be a high-speed match. The rest of the matches were pretty mid.
Marigold Grand Opening Wars 2024 26/5/2024
Noon was slightly above average tour show. Bojira appearance was awesome in a
triangle match with Hayashishita and Victoria Yuzuki. I watched most of the night
show from the DIGEST in their youtube channel.
I watched semi-main and main event in full and they were both pretty cool and heated.
Bojira was awesome as always in the semi main tag and all Hayashishita Yuzuki and Kouki
were good in the main.
Hayashishita ends the show with a sick deadlift german on Yuzuki!
!!! Marigold Fields Forever 20/5/2024 !!!
Good two openers, amazing main event, the rest are skippable! Check it out.
~3 hours
- Nanae vs. Victoria Yuzuki is a super heated opener, good match with lots of
drama.
- Miku Aono vs. Nao Ishikawa is the best of the three first matches,
very impactful. Not many power moves, but there are cool moves here.
- !!! Utami Hayashishita & Giulia vs. Sareee & Bozilla !!! : Amazing main
event, it's insane how high impact this was. Rewatch ASAP!!! Giulia takes
insane punishment from Sareee, big bruiser Bozilla is a modern age female
Stan Hansen.
