The one that started it all for me! So so peaceful, many webmaster resources here! It's a shame she went on indefinite hiatus but hey, life happens and all good things must come to an end... |

Communist/Anti-capitalist library. Recommended. |
| Castle Cyberskull |
Hjeather has one of the coolest sites ever! Very 90s horror castle themed website. |
| 7nonsense |
Can't stop looking at their old school camera collection! I want an old digital camera too! They inspired me to start taking photos with my DSi camera. |
| Commodorn |
Very PSX-era vibes from this one, from the music to the design, it speaks to my heart. |

Gorgeous cute website, useful button banks and a pretty cool person! We have exchanged emails in the past and they were nice to me! Big plus! |
| Saint-Images |
Saint-Images has a really cool theme and really cool pics they took! They are also really cool and nice as a person. |
| INT 10h |
Ultra nerdy site about old computers that I love. There's a lot of stuff to explore here. Snatched some of the fonts of this very site
from viler! |
| Yvette's Bridal Formal |
Honestly I couldn't tell you what this site is about, but every time I hop on here I feel like I'm going on an adventure. I've found poems, songs,
ads, essays, stories, drawings, you name it! It's pure chaos. Yvette has a passion for fashion! |
| Music Blogs |
| Sophie's Floorboard |
The first music blog I started following and the best of them all imo! Featuring downloadable
mp3 discography of each band! It's only a shame they haven't been too active recently... |
| (((((OPENMind SATURATEDBrain))))) |
Aka Zegema Beach Records on youtube! Very skramz shit, there are a lot of hidden gems here.
They ae a legit small record company so not only will you see many new awesome bands, but their bandcamps will be linked, uploads of some of their songs on yt will be
posted, it's good stuff! Currently my favorite! |
| Canadian Wasteland Archives |
While they do provide discography downloads, they are lossless flac files, good if you're an
audiophile, bad if you're like me and don't care too much. Still pretty good! |
| Lost Songs |
Extra points for that nice touch of style. Experts in mainstream post hardcore/pop screamo/mall emo
whatever you wanna call it. They've been really active recently, that always fills me with hope! Crush your
inner screamo elitist here and have fun! |
| Better Stay Away From Those Kids |
Now this blog's last post is from 2011, but I'm leaving it here because I found The Now from here and
they have become one of my fav bands... So maybe you will also find a favourite band from here! |
| sweetbabyjaysus |
"Ewww, a youtube link??? Laaaaame" I hear you saying... But trust me, this channel has one of the
best collections of screamo/emo/post hardcore/etc. you will find on the internet! We're talking Sophie's
Floorboard and Zegema Beach Records levels of awesomeness! Absolutely check them out! |
| .autumn wire. |
This isn't one of my favourites and its last post is from 2022, but this gets extra style points
so it goes in here too. Enjoy the eye candy (aka the one cool background). |
| SHOEGAZER ALIVE |
Not the biggest fan of shoegaze/dream pop most days, but it's here if you want it! Saved you all the trouble
of looking. |
| Drifting with the ice |
Haven't delved too deep in this one, but they are my go-to for late 90s-early 2000s emo stuff. Old school feel-good
shit! They're relatively active too! |

| Windowmaker |
I've been running WindowMaker on Arch Linux on my laptop for about 3 years now. It looks great,
it feels great, it's retro, it's useful. It's a stacking window manager with workspaces that emulates
the NeXTSTEP environment. I recommend it! |
| Windowmaker themes |
My favorite part about WindowMaker is all the different themes there are aout there and how easy
it is to create a theme of your own. My personal favorite is Lonely Machines's
collection of themes, but on the WindowMaker website there's a themes section
that has even more collections from a variety of people. Also, here's some of my own themes
I've made for WindowMaker! This forum post
also showcases some really cool ideas if you want some theme inspiration! |
| Windowmaker dockapps |
Dockapps are a major characteristic of WindowMaker and I think they look really cool. From system monitors, to clocks, to system update checkers, to
small 64x64 TVs, you can find anything here... Also programming a dockapp seems to be pretty simple, I'd like to do that someday if I had a good idea
for one. You just need a bit of C/C++ knowledge, X11 libs and libdockapp, ez! |
| wm2 / wmx |
This is a window manager straight from 1995 that I like to run on my computer when I get a bit bored of WindowMaker. I also prefer
wm2 because I couldn't get wmx to work with my fonts, not sure why. You'd be right to think that it is a bit clunky, but when I get to use
something this pretty it makes it all worth it. Vertical window title bars!!!
How cool is that? |
